From the ashes of Multiply's "Joanne, by any other name" (2003) arise this space. Now, it houses my collection of significant pictures and angsty thoughts. It mirrors the dark and the light, the bumps and flights in my inner jouney!
Tight hugs to all of you, my adopted brother and sisters. I am also the recipient of your parents' love which I continue to enjoy through the three of you. I am writing this while listening to Bong's compositions dating back three decades. How sad that they still ring true. I am near despair! Ondoy brought the realities of our society at our doorstep. God's way of shocking us out of our comfort zones?"Saan nga ba ang patutunguhan?...Ngayon ang panahon ng pagharap at pagsulong!"
What a lovely tribute to your Mama. I remember her and your papa ever so fondly. My warmest regards to you and the family. I have been following Ondoy's ravaging of our country. I am so grieved by the pictures. I hope you are all well. Thankfully, our home and my brother, Jim's were spared from the floods.
Yes, thankfully our area is on high ground. Please continue to pray for those who were ravaged by the floods. It will take a while for the country to recover!
I think it might be because the blog entry is only for people in his Contacts list. I'm not sure, though, because some have been able to read it as a link from my Multiply account.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't open Bong's tribute to your Mama.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you have a copy of his songs! Malungkot sila, ano? Even more when you realize nothing much has changed!
