Parang akong nauupos na kandila...

  1. Ang kandila dekorasyon lang kapag hindi nagamit. It becomes useful when it's lighted. Which would you rather be? Now it comes in different shapes, scents, and colors. Pero nauubos pa rin. You just have to make the most out of it, while it's alive.

But you're right, Jun. It feels good to be useful to others, to make the most of the light while it's there.

I'm discovering the Jun I never knew. Or were you always like this - philosophical, reflective, and optimistic - and I had just forgotten? Keep the comments coming as they help lift my sagging spirits!

And I'm not talking simply about work-related tasks with the same deadlines! I wish I had the power to put on hold the events happening in my public life when my private world is in shambles. But almost always, out of a sense of duty, my responsibilities take precedence over nursing my wounds. That might be the reason why I feel so drained these days.

Yes, I really need this forthcoming retreat, Espie. I want to once more discover reasons for letting the light shine through!
